Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Counseling and Social Worker Examining Board - Professional Counselor Section

The Professional Counselor Section of the Marriage and Family Therapy, Professional Counselors and Social Work Examining Board, licenses and regulates professional counselors. The Section is composed of members of the profession and public members who are appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate.

The Department of Regulation and Licensing is an umbrella agency providing administrative services to various professional boards. Within the department the Bureau of Health Service Professions provides administrative services to the Examining Board of Marriage and Family Therapists, Professional Counselors and Social Workers.
