Aesthetics School/Aesthetics Specialty School

Administrative Code (Code Book)

An aesthetics school is a business entity engaged in teaching aesthetics.

Aesthetics means practicing the care and beautification of the skin of the human body for compensation, including but not limited to cleaning, applying cosmetics, oils lotions, clay, creams, antiseptics, powders, tonics to or massaging, stimulating, wrapping or exercising the skin of the body.

No person may operate a school unless the school holds a current license. School means any facility, other than a specialty school, that offers instruction in barbering or cosmetology, aesthetics, electrology, or manicuring. Specialty school means an establishment that offers instruction to no more than one person at a time and does not charge tuition for the training.
