Can credentials be transferred from other States/Countries?
Contact the Department for an
application as indicated above. Applicants who have ever been
credentialed in another state will be required to have each state
board submit letters of verification to the Wisconsin Hearing
and Speech Examining Board. The letters must indicate date of
birth, credential number, date of issuance, and a statement regarding
disciplinary actions. These letters will be required in order
to complete the application for licensure.
How long does it take to make a determination to provide credentials?
By law an original completed application for a credential shall be reviewed within 60 business days after having been received, but the average time for review is 30 days. An application is considered completed when all materials necessary to make a determination on the application and all requested materials have been received by the board.
