TThe Barbering and Cosmetology Examining Board has approved this forfeiture grid on assessing forfeitures for administrative rule violations. The grid was recently updated by the Board to include new regulations, correct inaccurate references and clarify some areas that may have been vague. The Board assesses a forfeiture based on whether the offense is a first-, second-, or third-time offense. In some cases a forfeiture is assessed according to the length of time of the violation (timeline: 0 - to 5 months, 6 months to 1 year, 1 year or more). The Board has been able to expedite the closing of complaints by using this grid.
