Must have completed 60 credits
of undergraduate work, and have graduated from an accredited chiropractic
college. Beginning July 1, 1998, a candidate must have attained a
bachelor's degree in addition to the degree of doctor of chiropractic.
Continuing
Education Requirements:
40 credit hours through
WCA, ACA, ICA , or courses sponsored by an approved Chiropractic College
or Medical School. All courses need to be pre-approved by the Board.

Chiropractic Nutritional
Counseling Certification Education
New rules allowing chiropractors
to provide nutritional counseling will become effective December
1, 2006. Before providing nutritional counseling a chiropractor
must take specific educational programs.
Applications are now being
accepted from providers of chiropractic nutritional counseling certification
education for approval of their programs.
Programs may first be approved
December 1, 2006. Programs may first be offered at least 75 days
after December 1, 2006, on February 14, 2007.
After December 1, 2006, programs
must be submitted for approval at least 75 days prior to the first
offering date.

here. These are the rules that will go into effect December
1, 2006, and are being shared at this time only to provide direction
to program providers who wish to submit applications for approval
of their programs.
