Crematory Authority

Code Book

A crematory authority is a business entity engaged in the practice of cremating human remains, and a creamtory is the building used for that purpose.

Before opening for business, and every 2 years thereafter, a crematory authority shall obtain a permit from the Department. No permit may be granted to a crematory authority which does not meet requirements in Wis. Stat. s. 440.71.
