Q. How
do I transfer my reciprocal credential to Wisconsin ?
A. From
your originating state, initially you must complete the Application
for IC&RC Reciprocity. You may receive this form from your state
board.
You must
apply to Wisconsin through "Application
by Reciprocity". Please see "Obtain
a license" for more information and application materials.
Please
note that in addition to receiving the Reciprocity Approval Notification
from the IC&RC, the State of Wisconsin requires all reciprocal
applicants to provide letters from all state boards where a previous
credential was held (includes active, inactive and non AODA credentials)
and passage of the Wisconsin Statutes and Rules Examination.
Q.
How do I transfer my Wisconsin reciprocal
credential to another IC&RC member board?
A. Please
complete the Application for IC&RC Reciprocity. This form must
be completed including the signed release and authorization.
Send the
completed form with an attached money order payable to the IC&RC
for the non refundable fee of $100.00 ($90.00 if you are reciprocating
from the USAF/USN) to the Department of Regulation & Licensing
* Note - Counselor with ICS is $100.00 total, otherwise
the fee is $100.00 per each credential.
In addition
to the fees paid directly to the IC&RC, Wisconsin requires a
$10.00 fee payable to the Wisconsin Department of Regulation &
Licensing for verification (see: " Verification
of Credential" ).
Please do
not include this fee with the money order payable to the IC&RC,
if the fees are not separated, or you do not follow the procedure,
your entire application will be sent back to you.
Once the
Department receives the completed and signed application for IC&RC
Reciprocity along with the $100.00 money order payable to the IC&RC
and a $10.00 check or money order payable to the Department of Regulation
& Licensing, the Department will forward your application, IC&RC
transference fee and state verification to the IC&RC for processing.
Once processed and accepted, the IC&RC will issue the "Reciprocity
Approval Notification" to the board of which you are applying
to.
