Can credentials be transferred from other States/Countries?
Wisconsin does not have a reciprocal licensing agreement with any other state. Applicants must follow standard procedures outlined here.
How long does it take to make a determination to provide credentials?
An original application for a credential by law shall be reviewed and a determination made within 60 business days after a complete application has been received, but the average time for review is less than 10 days. An application is considered complete when all materials necessary to make a determination on the application and all requested materials have been received. A temporary permit, good for up to 30 days, may be issued. Results of the CIB or FBI checks may be grounds to revoke a temporary permit and deny a regular permit.
