Visit the License Lookup , click on and select from the Credential Type, type in the last name or credential number to search.

How can I file a complaint?

Go to File a Complaint and follow the steps

How can I find out if there is discipline or other orders affecting a credential holder?

Visit the Reports of Decisions and type in their name in the Search window.

Can credentials be transferred from other States/Countries?

See Education. If an applicant does not presently hold a salesperson's license in Wisconsin, he or she must have satisfied the salesperson's educational requirement, passed the Wisconsin salesperson's exam and passed the Wisconsin broker's exam. Contact the department for more information.

How long does it take to make a determination to provide credentials?

An original application for a credential by law shall be reviewed and a decision made within 60 business days after a complete application has been received, but the average time for review is 5 days. An application is considered completed when all materials necessary to make a determination on the application and all requested materials have been received.
