How do I obtain a registration seal/stamp?  What address do I use?

Any individual credentialed by the Wisconsin Examining Board of Architects, Landscape Architects, Professional Engineers, Designers and Land Surveyors is required to obtain a registration seal/stamp.  A rubber stamp or embossed seal is acceptable.  Registration seals are available from most commercial printers or office supply stores.

The requirements for the registration seal/stamp may be found in sec. A-E 2.02, Wis. Admin. Code which may be found on our website.

The inner circle area of the seal must include the registrant's name, credential number (use only the numbers before the dash i.e. S-11111) and the city and state where the credential holder resides or is employed.  The city and state should be the same as the mailing address that you have on file with the Department.  You may use the city and state of your employment (other than your home address) if this is the same as the mailing address on file with the department.

Questions regarding the use of the seal not defined in sec. A-E 2.02, Wis. Admin. Code should be referred to the Department of Commerce, Safety and Building Division at 608-266-3151.
